Sorry I feel a bit out of the loop on this one. Having been away at the weekend and for much of August and September, it would be nice to know what the presentation to Paul was for?
Hi John, Paul has had to rethink his time after his promotion in the army. He has taken the decision to withdraw from the Parish Ministry at St John’s from the end of September 2024. Last Sunday was the last service he conducted and we presented him with a stole, some wine and some flowers for Susanne as appreciation for his help in keeping the Church open.
Thanks for the update, Stewart. I shall be sorry to see him go having enjoyed his ministry for so many years. He always had something pertinent to say in his sermons, mixed in with so many military anecdotes.
Don’t suppose there is any further progress with finding a new vicar?
