This Weeks Reflection

As we journey through the ups and downs of life, Scripture gently reminds us:
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Gratitude is more than a polite response to blessing, it’s a spiritual posture. Even in the struggles, the uncertainties, and the quiet waiting, God is present. As followers of Christ, we are called to give thanks not just when life feels easy, but in all seasons. This isn’t always simple—but it’s powerful.

Giving thanks aligns us with God’s will and opens our hearts to His peace. It shifts our focus from what is lacking to what is being lovingly provided, even if unseen in the moment.

Let us offer up our thanks, trusting that God is at work in every circumstance.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31

In the face of trials, uncertainties, and challenges, remember this powerful promise: if God is with us, no force can truly stand against us. His love shields us, His grace strengthens us, and His presence surrounds us in every moment.

When the path seems difficult, let this verse be a reminder that we are never alone. God’s hand guides us, His light shines before us, and His strength is our anchor.

This Weeks Reflection

There’s a promise that resonates deeply in Psalm 23:6: “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

What a beautiful reminder that we are never alone. His goodness and mercy are not just occasional visitors, they follow us, every single day. Through the highs and the lows, His presence is constant, His love is unchanging, and His promises are eternal.

May we walk confidently today, knowing that His goodness surrounds us and His mercy renews us. Our forever home is secure in Him.

Baptism

Today we welcomed Eliza Raine Burgess into God’s family through the sacrament of baptism at St John the Baptist Church, Lees.

May this special day be the beginning of a life filled with faith, love, and blessings. May God’s grace shine on Eliza and guide her always.
