This Weeks Reflection

Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” – John 16:24b

This verse reminds us of God’s open invitation to come to Him with our hearts’ desires and needs. It’s a beautiful promise that our prayers and hopes are not only heard but that we can trust in a response that brings true joy and fulfillment.

God encourages us to ask, to seek, and to believe, because when we align our hearts with His, we open ourselves to receive the blessings He has prepared for us.

So today, let’s approach Him with confidence and faith, knowing that He delights in filling us with joy. Whatever you are praying for, trust that He hears you and is ready to answer in His perfect way and timing.

All Souls

Today we held our All Souls service to commemorate the Faithful Departed which included the words:

Hear us, O merciful Father, as we remember in love those whom we have placed in your hands.

Enfold them in the arms of your mercy, in the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and in the glorious company of the saints of light.

Amen

This Weeks Reflection

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this. He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn.” (Psalm 37:5)

This powerful verse from Psalm 37 serves as a profound reminder of the importance of placing our trust in God. When we commit our paths to Him—our hopes, our challenges, and our daily lives—we open ourselves to His guidance and grace.

Trusting in the Lord is not always easy, especially when we face uncertainty or obstacles. Yet, it is in these moments that our faith can grow the strongest. God promises that when we seek Him earnestly and align our desires with His will, our efforts will be rewarded in ways that reflect His goodness and light.

Let us take time to reflect on what it means to fully commit our ways to the Lord. We’ll explore how this trust can transform our lives and strengthen our community. Together, we can encourage one another to shine brightly, just as the dawn brings new hope each day.

Social Event

Thanks to all who supported the social on Saturday which was attended by 47 adults and 13 children and raised a magnificent £400.  Well done to the social group who organised it for their hard work and everyone else who helped – it was enjoyed by all.  Congratulations to the winner of the children’s fancy dress – a very impressive and scary Dracula!

This Weeks Reflection

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27

Jesus’s words in John 14:27 remind us that the peace He offers is unlike any other. It’s a peace that calms, strengthens, and brings hope, even when we face the storms of life. The world may offer temporary relief or distractions, but His peace is enduring and beyond understanding.

Today, let’s lean into this promise. When worry or fear begins to creep in, remember that Jesus has already given us a peace that overcomes all. Let’s rest in that gift and trust in His presence, letting go of the burdens we carry.
