David Green 21/12/49 – 2/12/22

It is with sadness we mark the passing of David Green.

David maintained this website from 2014.

In his Eulogy, Rev Richard Hawkins said “David brought so much to this church.  He was a man of compassion, generous in giving of his time, talents and support.   He was reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and he’d go out of his way to help anyone with anything. You don’t always know what you lost until you lose it – and we shall feel the loss of David as individual but also as an extremely active part of the community of this church.”

The loss of David has been a great blow to our Church. He was a dedicated and hard working man. Richard was right, you don’t know what you have until you lose it! It isn’t just his input to church we will remember, but as also being someone of generous spirit and so much kinder than most of us knew. RIP David, and love and prayers to Edna.

Thanks for this and thank you to all who attended David’s funeral. Thank you also for all the visits, phone calls, cards and especially the hugs – I needed every one of those.
